This Avocado Sprouts Sandwich is a simple sandwich that brings together the goodness of creamy avocados, fresh vegetables, and crunchy sprouts. This easy-to-make vegetarian recipe will surely tantalize your taste buds while offering a dose of wholesome nutrition.

Avocado

Chipotle Mayonnaise

Fresh tomato

Cucumber slices

Red onion slices

Fresh sprouts: I made my own salad sprouts. If you don't want to make your own sprouts, you can easily buy alfalfa or broccoli sprouts in the grocery store.

2 slices of bread: I prefer to use a homemade whole wheat bread or oatmeal bread. If purchasing bread, buy a hearty healthy loaf like Dave's Killer Bread.

Salt and black pepper: optional

Mashed avocado spread on one slice of bread.
Tomato layer.
Onion layer.
Cucumber layer.

🔪 How to Make Avocado Sprouts Sandwich

  1. Place the avocado in a small bowl and season with salt and pepper. Using the tines of a fork, mash avocado to make it spreadable.
  2. Spread the mashed avocado on the bottom slice of bread.
  3. Next, top avocado layer with tomato slices, red onion slices, cucumber slices, and a handful of alfalfa sprouts.
  4. Spread the remaining piece of bread with chipotle mayo. Place spread side down on alfalfa sprouts. Cut and serve as desired.
Assembled sandwich all all layers and an extra drizzle of mayo on top of the sprouts.
